According to TMZ, Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty are facing a lawsuit by the victim of Perry’s attempted rape case in 1995, who claims Minaj tried to pay her to alter her account.
The victim in the case, Jennifer Hough, claims that the ‘TROLLZ’ rapper and her partner have harassed and intimidated her in an effort to prevent her from speaking of the incident. As a result of the alleged direct and indirect harassment, Hough alleges she has experienced emotional anguish.
Hough asserts that the harassment commenced in 2018 after the Petty’s married and the femcee allegedly began making remarks about Petty being “wrongfully accused.”
According to Hough, Minaj tried to bribe her by proposing to fly her and her family to Los Angeles in return for recanting her testimony when Perry was accused of not registering as a sex offender in March 2020. Hough also claims that Minaj called her brother shortly after and offered him $500K to revise her account.
She also alleges that Minaj sent attorneys to her house, in an attempt to get her to change her account. After another claimed $20k bribe attempt and another alleged threat to her safety, Hough claims she moved out of her house in August 2020.
Hough’s lawsuit includes claims of deliberate infliction of emotional distress, harassment, and intimidation of witnesses. Kenneth Petty is also being sued for sexual assault in connection with the rape case from 1995.
As of writing, the couple has yet to release a statement in response to Hough’s allegations. Stay tuned to YEEEAAH! Network as the story develops.
