The Montreux Jazz Festival returns for its landmark 60th edition from July 3rd to 18th, bringing a wide-ranging lineup to the shores of Lake Geneva. This year’s headliners include Raye, PinkPantheress, and rock legends Deep Purple, reflecting the festival’s continued blend of heritage and forward-thinking programming.
Beyond the top billing, the lineup stretches across generations and genres, with artists like Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Lewis Capaldi, Sting, Van Morrison, and James Taylor sitting alongside newer voices such as Loyle Carner, Zara Larsson, and Tyla. The lineup also features The Roots, John Legend, Conan Gray, and Joy Crookes, hinting at an unforgettable forthcoming event.
Special moments are set to highlight the festival’s deep roots, as Marcus Miller will lead a tribute to Miles Davis, reuniting musicians from the We Want Miles! era, joined by Billy Cobham and Gregory Porter. Meanwhile, French disco pioneer Cerrone will close the festival with his orchestral Disco Symphonic project, adding a cinematic finish to the celebrations.
Additionally, Raye’s standout role will see her open the festival for the third consecutive year, continuing a strong relationship with Montreux that has grown alongside her career. Following her ‘Live At Montreux Jazz Festival release in 2024 and her recent album This Music May Contain Hope, her 2026 performance promises a new stage configuration at the Auditorium Stravinski, marking a first for the venue.
For Deep Purple, the appearance adds another chapter to a long-standing connection. Having performed at Montreux ten times, their legacy is closely tied to the location, most famously through Smoke on the Water, inspired by the 1971 fire on Lake Geneva during the recording of Machine Head. It’s a reminder of how deeply the festival is woven into music history.
Tickets for the 60th edition go on sale April 1st, with demand expected to match the scale of the occasion.
