The Brit Awards which took place last night, Tuesday, Feb. 8th at London’s 02 Arena, saw host Mo Gilligan entertain his audience and viewers at home after the comedian took a jab at the Prime Minister after being asked to apologize for swearing on live TV.
Mo dropped a comment about the parties which were held during the Covid lockdowns at Downing Street after the 33-year-old apparently got “carried away” and mistakenly used “f**k” during the live coverage.
He explained, “So guys, earlier in the show, I got a little bit carried away and I swore.
“Apologies for any offence. I lost myself.”
Mo made fun of Boris, saying he knows the PM “loves a cheeseboard and a party”, and urged Boris to come and join the ceremony.
Mo’s jabs came after Anne-Marie’s performance with KSI and Digital Farm Animals, where the comedian couldn’t help but make fun of the PM for his recent actions that have been captivating the media.
Mo began: “We all love a party. The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. Speaking of parties, Boris, I know you’re watching.
“I know you love a party. Come down my guy! I know you like a cheeseboard! Look at you with your Dairyleas.”
Following his remarks, Mo gave the camera a sly grin, and the live audience erupted in laughter at the savage jab.
Mo’s remarks during the live coverage appeared to have entertained viewers at home, who then took to Twitter to share their amusement.
