The Hip-Hop trio have released their latest body of work, dubbed ‘Ice Cold’ which was created in collaboration with YouTube Originals. The docu-series premiered on the global video streaming platform yesterday night.

The ‘Straightenin’ rappers are seen utilizing the platform to explore Hip Hop culture’s appreciation for jewelry and how it relates to wealth and status.

Ice Cold director Karam Gill said of the docuseries: “We all have our own ways of feeling and displaying success. This series explores that concept through the story of Hip Hop jewelry. It’s a deeper look at the construct of ’The American Dream’ and how Hip Hop has redefined it through jewelry and creative expression.”

Lil Baby, Lil Yachty, and the City Girls, all of whom are signed to Quality Control, appear on Migos’ ‘Ice Cold’ docuseries, with other guest appearances from the likes of J Balvin, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, A$AP Ferg, French Montana, Slick Rick, and Talib Kweli.

‘Ice Cold’ also featured interviews with celebrity jewelers Ben Baller, Eliantte, Johnny Dang, and Icebox. Quality Films, Universal Music Group’s Mercury Studios and Polygram Entertainment, Mass Appeal, and MGX Creative co-produced the series, which was executive produced by Migos, Kevin “Coach K.” Lee, and Pierre “P” Thomas.

Speaking of the project, Kevin ‘Coach K’ Lee, Quality Control founder/COO said: “This film has been a passion project that was four years in the making to tell a larger story about our music and fashion culture as well as being Black and navigating what we all grow up hearing is ‘the American dream.’ Our QC family are extremely proud to bring this film to life with our partners and the deeper spin on bling that Karam Gill gives it,”

Migos were featured in the weekly YouTube music series ‘Released’ in celebration of the docuseries and currently gearing up to release a new music video for the ‘Roadrunner’ single which hems from their new album, ‘Culture III.’
