The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have signed a seismic multi-year deal with Spotify as part of an exclusive podcast deal.
In collaboration with the couple’s newly-formed Archwell Audio production company, they will make new content for the streaming platform which is meant to “build community through shared experience, narratives and values,” and will be produced by the couple themselves.
Premiering in 2021, listeners can expect to have the couple host with a special holiday special focused on “stories of hope and compassion.”
In a statement, the couple said: “What we love about podcasting is that it reminds all of us to take a moment and to really listen, to connect to one another without distraction.
With the challenges of 2020, there has never been a more important time to do so, because when we hear each other, and hear each other’s stories, we are reminded of how interconnected we all are.”
The new deal comes after the Duke and Duchess landed a massive deal with Netflix in September.
