The multi-Grammy Award winner spoke with CBS Morning’s Gayle King for the first time about her alleged shooting incident with Tory Lanez.

Ahead of the interview’s release on Monday morning, CBS released a preview of their interview, where Megan can be seen crying as she recalls the terrifying 2020 event.

The ‘Savage’ rapper then started by recounting the events of the evening, stating that she was at a party and was ready to leave, but that everyone else wanted to stay, which she describes as “normal friend stuff.”

Megan goes on to explain that the situation, however, became direr and upon her exit from the vehicle, her then-boyfriend Tory Lanez said to her “Dance, b*tch” and began shooting at her while asserting that “I never put my hands on anybody. I never raised my voice too loud.”

She goes on to say, “I didn’t want to move too quick, like ‘cause I’m like, ‘Oh my god. If I take the wrong step … I don’t know if he could shoot me and kill me.’” She continued, “I was really scared ‘cause I had never been shot at before.”

Lanez was arrested and released on bail earlier this month for violating a protective order in the felony assault case and has pleaded not guilty, but he is not allowed to speak about the matter.
