Following her 2019 New Class of Honorees mention, Mariah Carey has now been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
The acclaimed hit singer-songwriter resorted to social media to thank her fans for their love and support over the years and said that writing lyrics is her favorite aspect of making music. She also described the accomplishment as the pinnacle of her professional career.

Due to the challenges with the global health crisis starting for the most part in 2020, the ceremony to induct Carey and others had been on hold until now.
Other artists to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame this year were Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo of The Neptunes, and The Isley Brothers.
