Did you watch the trailer of Gassed Up? The first trailer is out and has impressed a grand audience thus far. It features Taz Skylar, Steve Toussaint, and Stephen Odubola. You may remember Skylar from Netflix’s live show called One Piece. Stephen Odubola has co-written the show and stars in a crime thriller engaged in small-time crimes in London due to struggling to survive.
Stephen Odubola plays Ash. He is a young member of society whose source of income is petty theft. Ash is dedicated to supporting his family. Yet, he constantly struggles with his morals. He questions stealing but cannot stay away from it.
Ash’s complexities worsen when a jewelry shop theft makes him a target of an Albanian crime family. Now, he must pick who he trusts if Ash wishes to stay alive. Gassed Up features State Toussaint and Mae Muller. The case includes Harry Pinero, rapper Ms. Banks, and Yung Filly.
Will Ash stay loyal to his friends and family? Will he leave his criminal ways behind him? Will Ash retire from the fast lifestyle that is putting everyone’s life in danger? Be sure to tune in and find out more.
Gassed Up is a collaboration between Skylar and Odubola. Directed by BAFTA-nominated “Hard Stop” director George Amponsah. They have not appeared together on the screen since Boiling Point, a BBC adaptation. Gassed Up You can see the film on your TV on Amazon Prime on 29th March.
