M Huncho‘s new album, The Wizard, is finally here, and it opens with “A.L.O.T.,” a track built on The Wizard of Oz concept that runs through the record. The song sets a reflective tone that introduces Huncho‘s fluid delivery, as the lead single “Wild N Free,” featuring Sosocamo, sets the tone with themes of success, money, and self-awareness. “10 On The Go” goes deeper into faith, judgment, and authenticity, with Huncho refusing to explain himself and instead chooses self-definition.

The Oz concept could feel forced, but it actually anchors the album’s emotional terrain. “Tin Man” explored emotional detachment and isolation, while “Cowardly Lion” tackled strength, weakness, and Huncho‘s public support for Palestine and Sudan, highlighting the kind of political stance that grounds a record in something real.

Huncho also continues a running thread throughout his catalogue of football references. “Push The Button” nods to Myles Lewis-Skelly, with “Julio” drawing from Julio Jones. They function as subtle anchors, a recurring visual language he returns to across projects. Meanhwhile, “Outside” comes as a breezy summer moment, following a slew of heavy-themed tracks, while “Long Sleeve Henry” closes with energy and aggression.

Throughout the record, Huncho’s partnership with producer Quincy Tell Em, stands as the backbone of project. They sharpen each other with the kind of creative synergy that reminds you why producer-rapper duos matter, mirroring something like MF DOOM and Madlib, where the work becomes greater because both talents know what they are about.

With that said, take in The Wizard below.
