According to TMZ, state prosecutors in Los Angeles have dismissed sexual assault charges against rapper T.I. and wife Tiny following accusations of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman in LA back in 2005.

Prosecutors have chosen not to prosecute the couple as the alleged encounter occurred 16 years ago, which therefore will be outside the 10-year statute of limitations, according to TMZ.

As earlier reported, the alleged victim claimed that she met The Harrises at a LA nightclub and then went to their hotel to honor their extended invitation. She claims she drank a sip of Tiny’s soda, after which they both showered together. She went on to state that, her “no” was disregarded after she became sick, after which claims she was sexually assaulted by T.I.

At the time, attorney for the Harrises, Steve Sadow, released a statement which said:

“The Harrises have not spoken to or been contacted by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the Las Vegas Police Department (LVPD) or, indeed, any member of law enforcement from any other jurisdiction in the country.

“Even assuming the story in the Daily Beast is close to accurate, it appears the LAPD ‘accuser’ has chosen once again to remain anonymous, thereby preventing us from being in a position to disprove or refute her allegations — or even examine them. Meanwhile, although we now appear for the first time to have the name of an ‘accuser’ who supposedly filed a police report with LVPD, we have absolutely zero details about her or her claim.”

The reports of the dismissal come just days after the Atlanta-native addressed the sexual assault claims on an episode of Big Facts with Big Bank, DJ Scream, and Baby Jade where he vehemently debunked all claims leveled against himself and his wife.

Speaking about the involvement of law enforcement, Tip said:

“They sent that sh*t to the feds. They sent that sh*t to GBI [Georgia Bureau of Investigation]… I trust any legal, law facility to do their job.”

Adding: “Stupid people listen to stupid people. It’s as simple as that. Stupid people listen to stupid people. The name of the show is [Big Facts]. You show me one motherf**king big fact on the subject and we can continue the discussion.”
