This summer, MTV’s “Behind The Music” will make its official comeback. However, it appears that it will return in a classic way, with Jennifer Lopez, LL Cool J, and other celebrities expected to star in the upcoming season.
Lopez and Cool J appear alongside Busta Rhymes, Ricky Martin, and Fat Joe in a recently released trailer for the film.
Paramount+ is said to have landed the upcoming shows ‘Behind The Music,’ ‘Unplugged’ and ‘Yo! MTV Raps’ as rebooted shows.
This comes months after MTV announced they will revive a host of classics on Paramount+. At the time, President of music, music talent, programming, and events, Bruce Gilmer announced that MTV ‘Unplugged,’ ‘ Behind The Music,’ and ‘Yo! MTV Raps,’ will be returning to screens via Paramount+ streaming service.
He said: “We are thrilled to re-invent some of our most storied and impactful music franchises, including ‘Behind the Music’ and ‘Yo! MTV Raps,’ for Paramount Plus.”
“In addition, we will partner with some of the biggest names across the music industry to bring exclusive and unique content to the platform.”
While we await the premiere of the classics, take in the official trailer featuring Jlo and more below.
