Amid recent speculations and murmurs about the state of Lil Uzi Vert’s $24 million diamond which was placed on his forehead, the rapper has disclosed what supposedly happened to the gem.
Speaking to TMZ at the 18th anniversary of Jay-Z’s 40/40 club recently, Vert explained the circumstances saying:
“I had a show at Rolling Loud and I jumped into the crowd and they kind of ripped it out. I’m feeling good,” he said. “I still have the diamond so I feel good.”
Lil Uzi first revealed his acquisition back in January this year, when he tweeted telling fans he’d been saving up to purchase the $24million pink diamond made by Elliot Eliantte.
I’ve been paying for a natural pink diamond from Elliot for years now . This one Stone cost so much I’ve been paying for it since 2017. That was the first time I saw a real natural pink diamond. ♦️ A lot of M’s in my face 🤫 💰 💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰

We’re relieved to learn that Vert was not seriously hurt in the alleged encounter. However, it’s definitely better if the rapper uses this as a teachable moment and refrains from wearing large jewels on his head in the future.
