In news just in, rapper Lil Baby has been freed from police custody in Paris.
According to the Associated Press, who cited the municipal prosecutor’s office in their report, Baby was released from jail on Friday after being penalized for “having cannabis in his car.”
The ‘Emotionally Scarred’ rapper was previously stopped in Paris, on his way to the Paris Fashion Week celebrations with James Harden, where Harden was reportedly frisked but not held in any way.
Plainclothes cops are claimed to have stopped Harden and Baby, as well as a bodyguard, due to the supposedly “strong” smell of marijuana. Harden and Baby were reportedly somewhat disoriented, which added to the confusion.
Officers in uniform eventually arrived on the scene, claiming to have uncovered an estimated 32 grams of marijuana inside the vehicle, which led to Baby, as well as the bodyguard, being apprehended.
In an Instagram post promoting a gig in Indianapolis this weekend, Baby thanked fans and loved ones for checking in on him early Friday morning.
He captioned: “Thank You To Everyone Who Checced On Me !! I’m Good I’m Otw To The States To Rock My Show At The Pavilion At Pan Am In Indianapolis!! Let’s Gooooooo.”
