Baby took to Instagram ahead of Sunday’s ceremony to remind fans that he would be presenting an award at this year’s BBMAs. The overall tone of the video, though, was not what fans had come to expect from the artist.
Despite the fact that he was already a well-known celebrity, Baby made an unusual introduction, followed by changing his trademark Atlanta accent to make his voice sound more interesting.
“What’s Up? It’s Lil Baby here,” Baby said. “Tune in to the Billboard Music Awards to see me present the award for Top Hot 100 song presented by Rockstar Energy. See you there.”

Moments after the video went live, fans took to social media to share their opinions of the rare but pure address by the rapper, with many taking the chance to troll Baby for switching it up so unexpectedly.
