The current climate of the world has certainly hindered the sales of physical copies when it comes to the music industry but perhaps this hasn’t been all bad for some artists.
Digital copies being sold on iTunes for example have seen a higher purchase with streaming reaching recorded numbers during this pandemic. However, Liam Payne has a lot to celebrate with the sale of over 3,000,000 global sales of his debut solo album ‘LP1’ which was released 6th December 2019 through Capitol Records.

The interesting thing is that the album only managed to sell 9500 copies in its debut week in the US and debuted at #111 on the Billboard 200. It was somewhat of a surprise when Liam took to social media to share his amazing news with fans and thank them for their support as many haven’t had the album in mind ever since it was debuted.
Another reason for the ‘Strip That Down’ singer to be excited is the release of his Christmas Special which is set to be released this Friday 30th October.
