American fashion stylist Law Roach has announced his retirement from his craft. In a post on his Instagram page, the stylist said: “My Cup is empty….. thank you to everyone who’ve supported me and my career over the years.” “Every person that trusted me with their image, I’m so grateful for you all.” “If this business was just about the clothes I would do it for the rest of my life but unfortunately it’s not!” The politics, the lies, and false narratives finally got me! You win … I’m out. ❤️❤️❤️

The self-proclaimed “image architect” was a judge on America’s Next Top Model from 2016 to 2018. His famous work began when he met world-renowned actress Zendaya in 2011 to whom he has designed most of her captivating costumes to date. Roach was also a Judge on HBO Max’s “Legendary” for three seasons.

As things stand, fans are unsure of the reasons behind the designer’s retirement as he has always been open about being treated with the respect he deserves in the industry. This Roach says in a resurfaced interview: “You can’t talk to me any kind of way. I’m commanding a certain kind of respect and if you’re not giving me that, we’re going to have a problem. I’m not afraid of this industry because I’m Black, I’m from the hood, I can always be successful.”

He continued, saying, “I’ll walk away from all that shit because I’m just a natural- born hustler.”

He further noted that his retirement won’t affect his relationship with Zendaya:  “So y’all really think I’m breaking up with Z….. we are forever!” he wrote. “She’s my little sister and it’s real love not the fake industry love.”

“I’m not saying I’m retiring from fashion. I love fashion. I love the businesses, and I love being creative. What I’m retiring from is the celebrity styling part of it: the being in service and at service of other people. That’s what I’m retiring from, yeah.”
