Wanting to be a part of music history, Kim Kardashian purchases Janet Jackson’s outfit worn during the pop star’s 1993 “If” music video.
Taking to her Instagram Stories on Sunday, May 16th, Kim shared the purchase with her followers and it all comes right on time for Jackson’s 55th birthday.

Kim’s Instagram Story was captioned: “Happy birthday queen!,” following with “For @janetjackson’s bday bc I’m such a fan I can’t believe I won this on juliens_auctions.”

In reaction to Kim’s historic purchase, Jackson expressed her delight on Instagram Stories revealing how excited she is for the fashion queen to now own a piece from her personal collection.
Her post was captioned: “Thank u so much @kimkardashian! I hope ‘IF’ gives u as much pleasure as it did me.”

Kim’s family has previously taken interest in acquiring Jackson memorabilia. Kim and Kanye West reportedly spent an unknown sum on a jacket worn by none other than Michael Jackson in 1997 for their daughter North.
Other Jackson iconic items that sold during the “Iconic Treasures From the Legendary Career and Life of Janet Jackson” was her ensemble from “Scream” music video which officially sold for $125,000 and her 1990 Rhythm Nation Tour jacket, “1814” cap and black satin gloves going for $81,250.
