Kim Kardashian is seemingly in a year of makeover, as the beauty mogul is gearing up to end yet another phase in her life, to give way to something new following her divorce from ex-husband Kanye West earlier this year.
Breaking the news, Kim took to social media to inform her fans that her renowned KKW Beauty business would be shutdown in order to create something entirely new.
On July 6, the 40-year-old announced the closure of KKW Beauty saying that it would close permanently on August 1 to make room for a new endeavour that will feature a more streamlined product lineup.
Kim explained:
To Our Loyal Customers,
It all started with a contour kit and expanded to eyes, lips, body, and many incredible collections over the past four years.

On August 1st at midnight we will be shutting down the https://t.co/FsvhIerHFs site so that we can come back to you under a completely new brand with new formulas that are more modern, innovative, and packaged in an elevated and sustainable new look.

I’m excited to continue to develop and expand my product range and for you to finally be able to experience it the way that I have always envisioned.

In addition, my team is hard at work to improve the customer shopping experience where you will be able to purchase my beauty and cosmetic offerings in all categories from one single website.

Thank you so much for being on this incredible journey with me, and I promise we won’t be gone for too long.

Although the cosmetics mogul did not provide any further information about her future brand’s new direction or style, many fans believe she will eliminate the “W” following her divorce from ex-husband Kanye West earlier this year.
Meanwhile, the founder of Skims shapewear has registered more than 20 trademarks for “SKKN BY KIM,” fueling rumors that she’ll be launching a version of home goods brand in addition.
In 2017, Kardashian launched KKW Beauty, which initially started with contouring kits and quickly progressed to perfumes and other beauty products. Coty Inc. later secured a 20% share in KKW Beauty for $200 million in June 2020.
