KEVIN HART‘s ex-wife, Torrei Hart, clarified that there’s no feud between them despite her joining Katt Williams on some dates for “The Dark Matter Tour.”
In an interview with TMZ, Kevin echoed similar sentiments, asserting that there’s no beef between them. Torrei highlighted her longstanding friendship with Katt, “go back like 20 years,” and highlighted their closeness by mentioning that Katt even “babysat my dog.”
Furthermore, Torrei made it clear that her involvement in the tour is not fueled by animosity and expressed her willingness to join Kevin on tour if the opportunity arises.
The report follows Katt Williams‘ critical remarks about Kevin and other comedians on Shannon Sharpe‘s “Club Shay Shay” podcast, during which the comedy icon Katt questioned Kevin’s success in Hollywood, alleging no memory of sold-out shows or standing ovations, before explicitly labeling Hart as an industry plant.
Katt asserted, “In 15 years in Hollywood, no one in Hollywood has a memory of a sold-out Kevin Hart show, there being a line for him, [or] ever getting a standing ovation at any comedy club.”
Adding, “Have we heard of a comedian that came to LA, and in his first year in LA, he had his own sitcom on network television, and had his own film called Soul Plane that he was leading? No. We’ve never heard of that before that person or since that person.”
Kevin responded to Katt’s accusations during promotions for his upcoming movie, “Lift,” and through appearances on FOX 5 DC and ESPN‘s “NBA Unplugged.”
