After purportedly previewing his next album at a listening party, Kanye West appears to be on the verge of releasing his first new music following his split from Kim Kardashian earlier this year.
The ‘Flashing Lights’ rapper is reported to have held a private listening of his forthcoming album at a star-studded event in Las Vegas over the weekend, as shown by the pictures of long lines outside the venue on social media.
Justin Laboy, a social media influencer who had the privilege of attending the event, gave followers an update and stated that the album was ready.
Justin wrote on Twitter, “Kanye played his new album for me & @KDTrey5 last night in Vegas. The production is light years ahead of it’s time, and the bars sound like he’s broke & hungry trying to get signed again.”
Before issuing a warning, saying, “Any artist who plan on dropping soon should just push it back #respectfully,’ before boldly claiming: ‘Album of the year. Dont [sic] @ me.”
Kanye played his new album for me & @KDTrey5 last night in Vegas. Man listen! The production is light years ahead of it’s time, and the bars sound like he’s broke & hungry trying to get signed again. Any artist who plan on dropping soon should just push it back 😤 #Respectfully

During the album’s playback, Justin uploaded a selfie of himself with NBA player Kevin Durant and a hooded person thought to be Kanye. It would seem Kevin was heavily moved by the tracks, as he was pictured with his hand across face, seemingly alluding to the awesomeness of the tracks.

A rumored tracklist has started circulating online, indicating that the album would be titled Donda, after his late mother Donda West. Rumoured songs from the tracklist include No Child Left Behind, I Know God Breathed On This, Hurricane, and 24/You’re Gonna Be OK.
Kanye West is said to have worked on the album with Travis Scott, Lil Baby, Playboi Carti, Post Malone, and Griselda. The body of work will also have “interludes of Donda speaking throughout the album,” according to a fan account Dondas Place, who attended the event.

Kanye is expected to debut his new song in a Beats Headphones commercial that might air during NBA Game 6.
Kanye West’s 10th studio album, Donda, was originally announced in March 2020, when he began recording the tracks in Mexico, before presumably being delayed due to the global crisis.
