According to Billboard, Kanye West made $12 million by holding three ‘Donda’ listening sessions, which is an impressive feat on all accounts.

The inaugural event at the Mercedes Benz Stadium was sold out, with over 42,000 people in attendance. A ticket for the public audience ranged from $25 to $100.

As previously reported, Kanye West’s second ‘Donda’ listening party held at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium became Apple Music’s most-watched livestream ever on August 5th, with over 5.4 million views, surpassing his previous record with his first listening party of 3.3 million streams.

However, according to Billboard sources, Ye’s second event’s in-person merch sales fetched an astounding $7 million, which is reportedly the same amount Kanye’s Yeezy x Gap puffer coat sold in one night.

Coming to Chicago, Ye pulled all the stops with a recreation of his childhood home in the center of Soldier Field.

It wouldn’t be a Kanye event without some spectacle though, as the rapper provoked social media outrage by bringing Marilyn Manson (who is accused of sexual assault and abuse by numerous women) on stage.

Per a rep for Manson, the accused singer-songwriter is featured somewhat on ‘Donda’ “and he will continue to conceptually collaborate with Ye on the Donda project.”

Kanye will then go the extra mile and welcome recently slammed rapper Dababy on stage and per reports, Dababy has a verse on Ye’s track that previously featured a verse from Jay-Z which was previewed during his first listening session.

After three epic listening parties, Kanye and his label has yet to confirm any official release date for ‘Donda’ but a placeholder date is seen on some streaming platforms, such as Apple Music, with the date 3rd September being displayed. The date also happens to be the exact date fans expect the release of Drake’s ‘Certified Lover Boy.‘
