According to Billboard, Kanye West’s epic 27-track album had the year’s best sales week, garnering 309,000 equivalent album units for the week of Sept. 2. This is Kanye’s 10th No. 1 album, making him the first artist to do so this century.

The impressive figures also include his 357.4 million on-demand streams and 37,000 pure sales. In comparison, ‘Sour’ by Olivia Rodrigo had 295,000 equivalent album units for the week ending June 5. ‘Donda’ also had the year’s biggest streaming week, topping J. Cole’s The Off-Season, which had 325.05 million on-demand streams in May.

Kanye joins the elite group of legendary artists who have achieved this feat which includes the likes of The Beatles, Jay-Z, Bruce Springsteen, Barbra Streisand, Eminem, and Elvis Presley who all have 10 or more chart-topping albums. ‘Donda’ is Kanye’s 10th consecutive No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, tying him with Eminem.

However, Drake is likely to replicate Kanye’s feat with his long-awaited ‘Certified Lover Boy,’ which is expected to chart next week with 575,000-625,000 album-equivalent units.

Coming in at number 2 on the Billboard 200 is Halsey’s ‘If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power’ which is followed by Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Sour’ which has previously enjoyed massive success on the coveted chart.

Congratulations to Kanye West on his latest achievement with ‘Donda.’
