Jorja Smith is slated to release her forthcoming third album, What Are The Odds on August 21st via FAMM. The 12-track album marks her first new album since Falling or Flying in 2023 and is produced throughout by longtime collaborator P2J. The album will blend dance, R&B, and grime influences, showcasing Smith‘s versatility across genres.
Ahead of the highly-anticipated release, Smith drops “Alive,” featuring Wizkid, offering fans a feel of what’s to come. The accompanying music video, set in Paris during a summer night, depicts the two artists dancing, sweating, and flirting through the city’s streets, while Smith is accompanied by excited backup dancers.
Wizkid represents the album’s only international collaboration, while grime rapper Devlin appears on “This City,” a reimagining of his 2010 track “London City.” According to a press statement, Smith and P2J began discussing making a dance record shortly after finishing their 2023 hit “Little Things,” setting the creative direction for the album.
