According to Billboard, multi-hyphenate star Jennifer Lopez has entered into a new recording and publishing partnership with BMG.
The partnership will see J.Lo release her ninth studio album, titled “This Is Me…Now,” under Nuyorican/BMG.
The 13-track album will serve as Lopez’s return to solo music after a nine-year hiatus since her 2014 release, “A.K.A.,” under Capitol Records. She subsequently collaborated with Columbian superstar Maluma on the soundtrack for their film “Marry Me” via Universal Studios/Sony Music US Latin.
BMG’s CEO, Thomas Coesfeld, expressed his excitement about working with Jennifer Lopez, calling her a “global superstar artist, entertainer, and phenomenon” and lauding the opportunity to release her first album in nearly a decade.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with her and her team to release her first album in nearly a decade,” Coesfeld stated.
Thomas Scherer, BMG’s president of repertoire and marketing in Los Angeles and New York, also praised Lopez’s upcoming album, “This Is Me…Now,” as an uplifting and inspiring project, highlighting her significant impact on the industry.

Jennifer Lopez took an active role in producing the album, which was created between 2022 and 2023 at her Los Angeles home studio. Collaborating with her were Rogét Chahayed, Angel Lopez, and Jeff “Gitty” Gitelman, along with other songwriter-producers like Hitboy, Ink, Tay Keith, Yeti Beats, Carter Lang, and Kim “Kaydence” Krysiuk. Also, BMG’s Brandon Riester served as the album’s A&R.
