With all the successful deals in recent times for the rapper-turned business mogul, it seems Jay-Z is looking to widen his scope as he has reportedly filed a trademark which suggests he’s likely to branch out into the content production business.
Hova’s S. Carter Enterprises filed a trademark application for “2/J,” according to documents received by TMZ. Per the filing, the business will cater for “…entertainment services in the nature of creation, development, and production,” which will include television shows, movies, and other related projects.
Should Jay-Z go forward with this venture, it will serve as his latest endeavour after the announcement of Monogram, which is Hov’s cannabis brand. Other business of the rapper includes Roc Nation, D’Usse, and TIDAL.
However, Jay-Z has yet to comment on the matter or announce what the trademark is about.
Stay tuned for more updates to the story.
