The High-Definition audio, video, and podcast streaming platform Tidal is reportedly looking to be acquired by Square, an American financial services company as they have held talks about purchasing the streaming service.
Tidal was launched in 2014 by Aspiro and is now owned by Project Panther Bidco which a company founded in 2014 by Laurence Brown Jr, but indirectly owned and controlled by businessman extraordinaire Jay Z. Hova purchased the streaming service for $56 million back in 2015.
The news of the possible sale comes after Dorsey and Jay-Z were spotted hanging out. Little to no details about the possible sale are known but stay tuned to YEEEAAH! Network for more updates.
