Jamie Lynn Spears is releasing a new memoir and Britney Spears fans have expressed their opinions when it was revealed that the book’s title will be ‘I Must Confess: Family, Fame, and Figuring It Out,’ a clear connection to Britney’s famous track “Baby One More Time.”
Over the weekend, an Amazon listing with the aforementioned title emerged on the website, which seemed to have riled up the singer’s fans just before it was quickly changed. Furthermore, Jamie Lynn’s publisher issued an apology for disclosing “premature information” about the book at such a “sensitive time.”
Speaking with E! News, Lynn’s publisher said: “Worthy Publishing, an imprint of Hachette Book Group, became aware earlier today that premature information about Jamie Lynn Spears’ still-in-development book project has been erroneously released online to book retail sites.
“We deeply regret that incorrect and incomplete information about her book has appeared in the public space, particularly at this sensitive time for Jamie Lynn and her family.”
Jamie Lynn’s memoir has yet to be given a title, according to Worthy Publishing, adding, “Jamie Lynn’s book has been in development over the past 12 months and will allow the world to hear her inspiring story in her own words, for the first time.”
Per E!, the original synopsis of the book, says Lynn’s memoir will “reveal the details behind Jamie Lynn’s highest and lowest moments,” including “never-before-heard stories that are at times funny, inspiring, messy, and uncomfortable. Like having her mom’s credit card declined at Limited Too when her sister was on the radio. How it feels to have inspired 16 and Pregnant with her own life story. Why her daughter’s ATV accident caused her to reevaluate and redirect her life. And why her family is just like any other family.”
This comes weeks after Jamie Lynn offered her support to Britney Spears following her court testimony which caught the world by surprise. Lynn explained the reason why her statement came somewhat later than fans would expect in her video shared to social media.
