The 28-year-old German-born English rapper has collaborated with the BBC on a new documentary, dubbed ‘Welcome To Hackney With Ivorian Doll,’ which explores the femcee’s Hackney background and its influence and impact on her as an artist and her music.

In the doc, we see IVD reunite with fellow Hackney local Paigey Cakey to offer us additional insight into the neighborhood, in addition to returning to her school and the renowned Hackney Empire.

“We’re all influenced by our surroundings,” the synopsis for the doc reads. “But, for musicians and artists, the environment they’re raised in can have a huge effect on the work they make in later life – whether they realise it or not!

“In this new documentary looking at just how the places artists are raised influence their work, rising UK rapper Ivorian Doll introduces us to the London Borough of Hackney, the place that made her the artist she is, and where she discovered her talent for music.”
