In a shocking revelation made by H.E.R., the singer claimed she almost joined forces with Zendaya and Kehlani to form a band together.
Speaking with Carlos Watson in a virtual interview, the ‘Could’ve Been’ singer revealed the gist while discussing musicians she’s met along the way as an upcoming artist in California.
H.E.R. said: “Dylan Wiggins, who is D’Wayne Wiggins’s son from Tony! Toni! Toné! – we used to be in a band together. We used to perform together when we were really young and Kehlani was actually in our band. We all used to sing together. Zendaya was going to be in it at one point. But yeah, they all grew up together. I came into the picture in Oakland and we used to perform together.”
It is very unlikely that the aforementioned ladies could ever find their way back into a band, but we are pleased to know that all three have pursued an impressive career path, with Kehlani recently releasing a new track with T-Pain. Zendaya is also gearing up to voice Lola Bunny in the upcoming Space Jam reboot. It goes without saying but H.E.R. has been on a massive roll citing her most recent accolades – which includes winning an Oscar- and her forthcoming debut album.
