Produced by Ugly x Tough, “Lomo Lomo” delivers a smooth fusion of Afrobeat and Soul, creating the perfect soundtrack to culminate the summer season. The production leans into rhythmic Afrobeat grooves with a touch of soulful melody, offering listeners a bold yet mellow vibe. It’s a fresh sound that showcases both KiDi‘s and Black Sherif‘s versatility, blending traditional African rhythms with modern flair.
The song’s title, “Lomo Lomo,” is derived from the Ga dialect in Ghana and translates to “curse or spell.” The lyrics dive into the powerful emotions of a romantic relationship where KiDi feels as though he’s been enchanted by his partner, completely under their spell. The theme resonates with the idea of love as an irresistible force, one that takes hold of you and leaves you spellbound.
