Nigerian singer-songwriter Johnny Drille has released his latest single, “Angelina,” a smooth Afrobeats collaboration with Fireboy DML. Produced by Blaise Beatz, the track blends lush harmonies with a rhythmic, feel-good instrumental—showcasing both artists’ signature vocal finesse.
“Angelina” adds to Johnny Drille’s growing list of acclaimed releases. Over the years, he has carved out a distinctive space in the Nigerian music scene with three projects, including his debut album Before We Fall Asleep, which earned him an AEUSA Award nomination. His heartfelt single “How Are You My Friend” from the Home EP marked a milestone, becoming his first top 10 hit on the Nigerian Apple Music Charts.
Drille’s work has also earned him multiple nominations at the prestigious Headies Awards, with nods for Best Vocal Performance (Male), Best Alternative Song, and Best R&B Song. He clinched the Producer of the Year award at the Beatz Awards, underscoring his talent behind the boards as well as in front of the mic.
