No Bars Reform is an initiative aimed at providing crucial support to women who have been previously incarcerated, as they navigate the challenges of reintegrating into society post-prison.
Along with the announcement of the initiative, an official website was launched, that offers a plethora of valuable resources, that includes employment, housing, therapy, substance abuse assistance, and even avenues that allow people to actively engage and participate in communities aimed at empowering fellow women.
JT said in a statement, “After spending almost two years in a Florida prison before being released in 2020, JT has vowed to use her voice and platform to help other incarcerated women rehabilitate into society by assisting with resources such as therapy, job placement, social services, and housing,” reads on the website.
“No Bars” is being hailed as the latest solo offering from the Florida rapper, following a four-year hiatus since her last release, “JT First Day Out,” which commemorated her liberation from a Florida correctional facility to a transitional residence.
Following the release, her fellow City Girls rapper, Yung Miami has expressed her support on social media, sharing on Twitter, “The only thing that matter right now is THIS [No Bars] EVERYTHING ELSE IS NOISE 😴😴”
