So this artist came across me with his latest single Alone. Was definitely captivated byt the contrast of his soulfulness of his voice riding on the rhythm of the guitars. It just reminds me of Prince but trust this muli-talented artist is making his own mark. He’s based in South Florida in th United States. He’s 21 and was raised by two musical parents who showed him how to produce music and how to perform. His father Steven “Lenky” Marsden, ( who produced hits for legends Sean Paul and Wayne Wonder). His mother—a former keyboardist for bands associated with Jamaican acts like Beenie Man, Bounty Killer and Dennis Brown, and the musical director of their church where Q sang in the choir. Lucky guy!
The body of work isn’t a fluke. It carries heartfelt energy that’s amplified by the rhythm and groove. One of my fave treats in 2020.
