The ever-creative Afro-fusion band NSG has returned with their irresistible new JAE5-produced track, ‘Petite,’ after their recent releases ‘Drunk Guitar’ and ‘Colonization.’
With their signature calm and collected vibe, the six-member collective has managed to amass massive streaming numbers across all platforms and has successfully debuted on Top 40 charts globally and on the UK Top 10 chart.
While ‘Petite’ arrives late in comparison to numerous summer bangers, the band is presently riding high on the heels of their previously released singles, and ‘Petite’ seems ready to follow suit.
The accompanying visuals, directed by Kevin Hudson and Kruddz, follow up where ‘Colonization’ left off, bringing forth party vibes with specialized NSG-inspired dance moves that will undoubtedly be featured in clubs, social media, and festivities this summer and beyond.
Speaking on ‘Petite’ NSG’s Papii Abz said: “’Petite’ is a perfect representation of who we are, as you know, a collective of Area Boyz, the life of the party. You get me.
“This song defines and symbolises PARTY. “Shake it baby, don’t break it!!” You know what I’m saying?! We are the life of the party!”
Members Kruddz, Mxjib, Mojo, OGD, Dope, and Papii Abz were already bringing big heat to the UK underground scene before exploding into the public with their 2019 summer smash “Options” and a slew of catchy releases including “OT Bop,” “Lupita,” and “Kate Winslet.”
The East London bunch are actively pushing the envelope while driving forth the Afro-inspired cultural landscape they have passionately helped to pioneer, building on their 2020 accomplishments.
‘We’re not looking at a United Kingdom thing, we’re looking at a global thing,’ NSG says, confirming its aspirations for global dominance. The collective is gearing up with more new music and a project coming out later this year.
