“Olé (We Are England)” by Krept & Konan, which is dubbed the unofficial official England Team song for Euro 2020, features S1lva, M1llionz, and Morrisson has finally been released with Scottish DJ and music producer Show N Prove as the producer, and Krept & Konan serving as executive producers.
The project which was documented by the BBC on it’s program ‘We Are England’ which first aired on BBC 1 on Wednesday 9th June, follows Krept & Konan as they explore Englishness while working on a football anthem for the Euros, taking input from fellow rap artists, manager Gareth Southgate, and England players like Declan Rice.
Speaking of the track’s debut in the playlist of the opening match for the England team, Rice said: “That’s crazy. That’s being played before the game. First game against Croatia, that’s going on the playlist, on the speakers – bang.”
For their various lines, the accompanying “Olé (We Are England)” music video will feature each artist in a distinct football-related set-up and locale. S1lva and Krept & Konan were filmed among England fans in and around Wembley Stadium before this week’s England versus Czech Republic match. M1llionz was filmed promoting his community outside the West Bromwich Albion F.C. stadium in Birmingham, where he was joined on the pitch by S1lva as they practiced their football abilities. Morrisson, a West Ham supporter from Newham, East London, was filmed near the Bobby Moore (World Cup Statue) on Green Street (site of the famed Bolyen Ground in Upton).
