Singer-songwriter Jorja Smith returns with a DAMEDAME-produced new single, “HIGH.”
Speaking of the inspiration behind the track, which sings – “I’ve had my lows, You weren’t always there for me, But time has shown, And I can love myself again” – Smith revealed, ”High is a song I wrote about finding a friend within myself, even through the lows, you have to find the highs.”

Accompanying the single is a visualizer featuring candid footage from Jorja and her fans, collected via a social media call-out in March. The video, co-directed by Jorja and Ivor Lawson-Adamah, depicts a diverse group of people celebrating and enjoying life.
Jorja‘s “HIGH” marks her first original music since the release of her much-acclaimed sophomore album, falling or flying, in 2023. The album, a mix of sleek R&B and raw alternative sounds, marked a new chapter for Jorja, reflecting her growth and self-love journey. The body-of-work subsequently earned Smith a BRIT nomination for ‘Best R&B‘ at the 2024 ceremony.
