Ahead of the highly-anticipated arrival of Ellie Goulding’s sixth studio album, I Know Too Much, in September, the singer-songwriter has unleashed the lead single “Black Prada Dress,” having already premiered the track during an appearance on Radio 1’s Big Weekend over the May bank holiday. She also performed the track it on Later… with Jools Holland over the weekend.
The track arrives during a renaissance for Goulding‘s music catalogue which is having something of a second life, as her track, “Starry Eyed” hit number one on TikTok earlier this year and re-entered the UK charts, introducing her music to a generation that was not quite around for the original run, setting up her new album arrival rather well.
Over the years, the music sensation has amassed over 55 billion streams, 44 million albums sold, four UK number one singles, and a record for the most UK Singles Chart entries by a British female solo artist. She is tied with Adele for the most number one albums by a British female artist. Goulding has previously earned Grammy and Golden Globe nominations, multiple BRIT Awards during her illustrious career. She has also been sampled by Drake, Jay-Z, Future, Lil Baby, and others.
