A new documentary, highlighting the late George Michael’s long and enduring career and his influence is underway.

Ahead of the singer’s would-be 59th birthday (June 25), Sony Music Entertainment and Trafalgar Releasing have unveiled the first-look trailer for ‘Freedom Uncut.’

The documentary is expected to delve into the complexities of his meteoric career, personal life, and more, and will include never-before-seen footage filmed during the recording of George’s top-selling solo albums Faith’ (1987) and ‘Listen Without Prejudice: Vol 1’ (1990), as well as interviews with the late star’s celebrity friends Mary J. Blige, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Naomi Campbell, Nile Rogers, Jean Paul Gautier, and others.

The feature-length documentary, co-directed and produced by George’s buddy David Austin, will be released on June 22 as a global cinema event.
