The production of the blockbuster, starring Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz, and Colin Farrell, was brought to an abrupt halt at the Warner Bros. studios in Leavesden, Hertfordshire.
A spokesperson of Warner Bros. confirmed in a statement, “A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19 and is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused.”
An insider also said, “We have been sent a memo telling us that a member of the crew has had a positive Covid-19 test. Everyone was talking on the set about it. We do not know who has tested positive, but it has caused chaos to the schedule.”
The shutdown could cost Warner Bros. hundreds of thousands of pounds and possibly even delay the release, which is currently set for October 1st, 2021 in the UK.
