Following the upcoming ninth instalment, Vin Diesel says that the Fast and Furious franchise would come to an end after two more films. F9 will be released on June 25th in North America, and the prospective films will be released in 2023 and 2024, respectively.

When questioned about the franchise’s future during a press event for F9, Diesel remarked, “Every story deserves its own ending.”

Just as many devoted Fast And Furious Fans would, Vin said his daughter shed tears upon hearing the saga was close to its end.

“I know people are going to feel like it doesn’t have to end, but I think all good things should,” he said. “There are reasons for a finale. I think this franchise has deserved it.”

Since the first film in the franchise, The Fast and Furious, in 2001, Diesel has played Dominic Toretto and have starred alongside actors such as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, rapper Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Jason Statham, and the late Paul Walker along the years. Although the Fast And Furious saga is set to end after the final two movies, it is reported that the movie’s universe will however continue.
