Aaliyah fans are feeling all sorts of nostalgia, as the late singer’s legendary second album, One In A Million, has been made available for the first time in 15 years on streaming platforms.

At the age of 22, the R&B diva died in an aircraft accident on August 25, 2001, just as she was reaching the pinnacle of her fame.

Since her untimely death, the unavailability of her music on streaming services has been frustrating to her fans, as a disagreement between Aaliyah’s uncle Barry Hankerson, who controls Blackground Records, and the singer’s family has prevented the publishing of her songs on streaming platforms.

However, in a surprising move earlier this month, Spotify announced a release timetable for five of Aaliyah’s albums, beginning on August 20 with ‘One In A Million,’ with Apple Music and other streaming outlets expected to have access to the majority of her catalog.

On August 27, 1996, Aaliyah released her sophomore album, One In A Million, serving as the follow-up to the R. Kelly-assisted ‘Age Ain’t Nothing But A Number.’
