The former couple has welcomed their newborn as Safaree took to social media to confirm his arrival with the caption, “MR Straittt jr is here!!.”
The arrival of the baby comes weeks after the former couple announced an impending divorce which was followed by a custody battle as Erica filed for full custody of their kids.
Following Mena’s custody request, Safaree stood his ground for joint custody where the rapper seeks legal custody, saying he wants a role in parenting choices for his infant daughter, Safire, and their newborn son. He also sought his participation at his child’s birth, according to documents acquired by TMZ just months ago, in the event that his soon-to-be ex-wife tries to refuse him.
Hopefully, the new baby will be enough to patch up all that’s wrong in the relationship or at least see the pair come to an amicable solution for the children’s sake.
