A trial date has been set for the man who allegedly broke into Eminem’s home and threatened his life.
According to the Detroit Free Press, April 19th 2021 is the trial date set for Matthew Davis Hughes. He would have the option to have a fasten bench trial or one conducted over Zoom during his trial.
Matthew allegedly broke into the rapper’s home in Clinton Township Michigan earlier this year. Eminem reportedly woke up to find Matthew standing behind him, where he revealed that he was there to kill him.
He was held off by security guards and was later arrested on the property, where he was later charged with first-degree home invasion and malicious destruction of property.
Matthew Davis Hughes will also face separated charges for assaulting a prison employee.
