Fans have been clamoring for real-life pair John Krasinski and Emily Blunt to play Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Woman after Marvel revealed a new Fantastic Four feature series inside the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
During an interview on the Howard Stern Show this week, Blunt was asked if she would be in the upcoming Fantastic Four film by the radio host. The claims were quickly debunked by the 38-year-old star saying, “That is fan-casting. No one has received a phone call. That’s just people saying, while adding, ‘Wouldn’t that be great?’”
Emily Blunt says that her and John Krasinski haven't been contacted about starring in 'Fantastic Four'
She's also not a fan of superhero films

Blunt has stated that she is not interested in acting in a superhero film until she considers a role that she can relate to.
Blunt explained to Stern: “It’s not that it’s beneath me. I love Iron Man and when I got offered Black Widow I was obsessed with Iron Man. I wanted to work with Robert Downey Jr.—it would’ve been amazing … but I don’t know if superhero movies are for me. They’re not up my alley. I don’t like them. I really don’t.”
She went on to say: “It’s been exhausted. We are inundated—it’s not only all the movies, it’s the endless TV shows as well. It’s not to say that I’d never want to play one, it would just have to be something so cool and like a really cool character, and then I’d be interested.”
This comes as Blunt gears up for ‘A Quiet Place II’ theatrical release. The movie is a horror sequel starring her and Krasinski, and will be released in theaters on May 28. After which the film will be available to stream on Paramount+ 45 days later.
