Dua Lipa is speaking out after DaBaby embarked on a homophobic rant during his act at Rolling Loud Miami over the weekend.
Dua said on her Instagram Stories Tuesday (July 27th) afternoon, “I’m surprised and horrified,” adding, “I know my fans know where my heart lies and that I stand 100 percent with the LGBTQ community. We need to come together to fight the stigma and ignorance around HIV/AIDS.”
Dua’s statement comes after the ‘Rockstar’ rapper went on a homophobic rant, saying, “If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up….Ladies, if your pussy smell like water, put your cellphone lighter up. Fellas, if you ain’t sucking dick in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up.”

Dababy remained noticeably silent following the event before later addressing the backlash on social media, claiming the controversy was a “weak-a** internet s**t” on his Instagram Stories.

His statements saw many fans of Dua Lipa, brainstorming ways to cancel the rapper from Lipa’s ‘Levitating’ remix which features Dababy.
Suggestions for his replacement included Megan Thee Stallion which will be ironic seeing as the Dababy is currently in a feud of sorts with the femcee following his recent track release with her ex-boyfriend Tory Lanez.

During the brainstorming, Victoria Monét took to Twitter to offer her services, should Lipa wish to replace Dababy from her track.

Dua Lipa’s comments come after numerous others chastised the rapper for his homophobic statements, however, it appears that not everyone believes Dababy acted inappropriately, as T.I. took to social media yesterday to express his support for the rapper.
