Following many postponements, including health-related delays, Drake has finally resorted to a novel method of announcing the release date for his long-awaited Certified Lover Boy album, amid a recent online feud with Kanye West.

On ESPN’s SportsCenter early Friday morning, a seemingly malfunctioned glitch during the broadcast revealed the release date for Drizzy’s forthcoming album, as the words “CLB September 3,” were scribbled on a piece of cardboard.

Drake announced the completion of his new album back in July before later updating fans that, the project was finally in the mixing stages.

The latter part of Drake’s comment to presenters OVO Mark and OVO Noel alluded to throwing shots at Ye who had teased his forthcoming ‘Donda’ for weeks at the time.

Soon after the apparent jab, Drizzy jumped on a collaborative effort with Trippie Redd on the critically acclaimed single “Betrayal” which subsequently birthed a new online feud between the two superstar artists.

In response to Drake’s supposed diss on ‘Betrayal,’ Kanye released a screenshot of an iMessage group chat which depicted Pusha-T being added to the conversation with a member of the group chat with their first name saved as D.

The Instagram post also saw a message from Ye in the group chat which read: “I live for this…I’ve been fucked with by weird ass jock n***as like you my whole life. You will never recover. I promise you.”

Kanye wouldn’t let sleeping dogs lie though, as the rapper would follow up with a major violation on social media, when he doxed Drake by releasing his home address, before quickly deleting the post.

It’s also worth noting that West’s ‘Donda’ album has a new release date of Sept. 3 listed on a number of platforms including Apple Music, however, this might just be a temporary date given the project’s previous two release dates were missed.
