Drake’s ‘Certified Lover Boy’ is following up on its recent milestone of out-streaming any album released this year, with more than 430 million streams in the US alone.
Now, the long-awaited album is shattering all previous records for the Billboard Hot 100, as 9 tracks from ‘CLB’ currently occupy the top 10 of the coveted chart, serving as the first for any artist in history. Prior to this feat, ‘Thriller’ by Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson’s ‘Rhythm Nation 1814,’ Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Born in the USA,’ and Drake’s ‘Scorpion’ were the closest, having seven tracks debuting in the top 10.
However, Drake accomplishes the feat by debuting at number one with ‘Way 2 Sexy,’ featuring Future and Young Thug, and with tracks from ‘CLB’ filling the next four spots, the ‘lover boy’ gets himself a historic first on the chart.
