Fans of Kanye West were finally treated to a full ‘Donda’ experience over the weekend, following several delays. However, the ‘Runaway’ rapper claims the album was in fact not released in its entirety and neither was his approval given prior to its release by Universal.
According to Kanye, his label Universal Music Group “blocked” a song titled “‘Jail 2’ from being on the album.” Ye’s claims came via his official Instagram account, moments after ‘Donda’ was made available on streaming platforms.
“Jail 2” which Kanye claims was dropped from being part of the album features recently slammed artists Dababy and Marilyn Manson, who the rapper surprised fans by presenting as part of the project, during his third listening party in Chicago.
Ye also included several interesting acts for the Chicago listening party, like a scene where Kim Kardashian appeared on stage wearing a wedding dress as she walked towards Kanye West, seemingly re-enacting their 2014 marriage, whilst his track “No Child Left Behind” played in the stadium.
Amidst West’s assertions, “Jail 2” has joined the rest of his album on streaming platforms now.
The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Lil Baby, Kid Cudi, Jay Electronica, and Young Thug are among the other artists included on the album.
