Almost three months after the Ruff Ryder legends death, his family is seemingly at odds over who’s to have control over his estate, according to reports.

Desiree Lindstrom, the MC’s fiancée prior to his death, asked a judge to declare her as X’s “common-law wife.”

A motion, if approved, would’ve made her his next of kin which in turn would have brought her closer to gaining control of his estate, including any financial earnings in the future. However, the motion was denied.

Subsequently, Xavier, 28, Tacoma, 21, and Sean, 19, all of whom are X’s sons from his marriage to Tashera Simmons, are all requesting to be administrators of the rapper’s estate.

In addition to that, two other adult daughters of X, Sasha Simmons and Jada Oden from previous relationships have also petitioned to be designated administrators, further complicating matters.

The sense of urgency is however understandable, given the rapidity with which posthumous projects, such as the rapper’s final album “Exodus,” are being released.

Furthermore, taking into consideration that the rapper has 14 children and left no will or cash assets, things are unlikely to go as planned for all involved.
