Dizzee Rascal has announced his ninth studio album We Want Bass, arriving September 4th on Big Dirtee Records. Fifteen tracks, all built around bass and designed for the club. The album pulls from house, R&B, rap, dubstep, speed garage, and bassline — a range that could feel scattered in less capable hands, but Dizzee has spent nearly 20 years proving he can move through those lanes without losing himself in any of them.
The latest single, “All Night,” dropped on June 17th to coincide with England’s FIFA World Cup opening match, with Dizzee performing it live at Boxpark Wembley. Earlier, “C U Dance” tapped into contemporary club culture, as the opening track, “Foxtrot Oscar,” sets the album’s tone with high-tempo bassline beats and unapologetic one-liners — basically announcing what the next hour and fifteen minutes are going to ask of you.
Recent collaborations with Bou, Bad Boy Chiller Crew, and others have kept him visible across the UK scene, which is the lane where this album sits. Dizzee is gearing up for Summer festivals including Y Not, Boardmasters, and Victorious, with a global tour planned across the UK, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
